Kanyakumari
Formerly named Cape Comorin today is kanyakumari. It is the southern most tip of this peninsular- India. The place is surrounded by hills and valleys and three major seas. This district is a mixture of Tamil and kerala culture and custom. It has temples and chruches that edify humanitarianism in a circumfurance of 1672 sq. km.

The capital of kanyakumari is Nagercoil. The place is well knownfor the temple of Nagaraja and the name of the city is been derived by this name.

Prechiparai Dam (43 km)
This is the southern most reservoir of the Tamilnadu state. Surrounded with densed trees and wild life this reservoir is a dwelling place for the hill tribals known as’ kanikars’ even today.
Thiruparappu water falls
This is a location situated 13 km from pechiparai dam. The kodayar makes its descend at Thiruparappu and the water falls is an exquisite spot of visit.
Thuckalay
Peer Mohammed durgha here is named after the great philosopher Mohammed Appa. The people of Kerala & Tamilnadu as a mixture genre live and celebrate without any difference of their caste, creed and religion.

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial

Thiruvalluvar statue
This is another important milestone to Kanyakumari district. The Thiruvalluvar Statue to the height of 133 feet indicates the 1330 couplets written by Thiruvalluvar. The statue is dedicated on the memory of such a valuable Wiseman of the state.
Kamarajar Manimandapam
This is dedicated to late. Sri kamarajar the king maker of Tamil politics. He was a man of humble and affable nature with his love to the people of Tamilnadu. He is the man who made education possible to the villages of Tamilnadu. A freedom fighter and the former chief minister of the state and erstwhily president of Indian National congress is been remembered here.
Vivekananda Rock Memorial
The Memorial consists of two main structures, the Vivekananda mandapam and shri pada Mandapam. This memorial is a sacred monument in rememberance of swamy vivekananda’s ‘Shripada parai’ He was a great mentor and an orator from India to the world. His great speech in chichago made him world-renowned and his thoughts are young and dynamic that to be followed by todays youngsters.
Government Museum
A wonderful place to think about our ancestors. Beautiful carved stone sculptures of 7th centuryAD, Bronzes of 15th centuary AD, East Indian Company coins. Oldest musical instruments, arms, tribal used materials and lot more exciting exhibits that are exquisite here.

Suseendrum (12 km)
Located on the bank of the river pazhayar this temple is famous for sri sthanumalayan a from depicting Siva, Vishnu and Brahma in one form “The trinity” shrine in India.

Udayagiri fort.
