Perambalur
This is a small district of the state , which was announced to be the district in the year 1995. The place is located exact centre of Tamilnadu state. With an area of 3690.07s.q km. The district was separated from Trichy District. The near by districts at Cuddalore district in the north , Trichy district in the South , Tanjore district in the east and Namakkal in the West. The river cauvery is the water resource that flows in this region. This districts headquarters is now rapidly developing in administration and trade.

Gangaikonda Cholapuram
This is an ancient temple a replica of Tanjore Big Temple. This was built by King Rajendra Chola in the year (1012- 1044) and named Gangaikonda Cholapuram, the second Brihadisvara, Gangaikonda Cholaesvara Temple. At about 1.5km away is Ulkottai and a mound named Maligaimedu which means ‘Palace mound’ that indicates where the palace once stood.
Siruvachur
Is famous for its “MadhuraKaliamman temple”.
Sathanur Fossilized Tree
A huge tree plant of Petrified tree lies here in the Trichinopoly group of rocks that ages around 100,000,000 years ago.
Ranjan Kudi Fort (17KM)
This fort was built by Jagidar under the Nawab of karnatic during 17th centuray A.D. The fort has a palace, residential buildings, underground Chambers, Mosque and a flag mast that portrays the ancient culture and living style of those legends who lived here.
